  August 22, 2014: Summer Social/Potluck, beginning at 6pm at St. Margaret's Chapel, 685 Watson Lane, Henderson KY.
Main dish (pulled pork BBQ) and soft drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to share.
Please make your reservation with Carol Grimm – carol6870@att.net -- by August 20 so we know how
much BBQ to order! Join us for food, fellowship, and sharing of plans for the coming year.

September 21, 2014: 25th Anniversary of the installation of the Jaeckel organ at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Evansville at 3:30pm.

October 25, 2014: Pedals, Pipes and Pizza, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Boonville IN beginning at 9:30am.  Click here for the Pedals, Pipes and Pizza flyer and registration form.

October 31, 2014: Boo in Boonville!  The chapter has been invited to participate again in Boonville’s annual Halloween celebration, “Boo in Boonville.” Chapter members and friends will play the organ at Main Street United Methodist Church on the Courthouse Square, between 5 and 7 PM on Friday, October 31.

November 9, 2014: Historic Organ Program on the Giesecke organ at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, Indiana at 3pm.

January 2, 2015: Epiphany Party at the home of Helen Reed, 1435 Brookside Drive, Evansville, 7PM.

February 17, 2015, 6:30 PM: Rabbi Gary Mazo, “Sacred Music in the Jewish Tradition,” Temple Adath N’nai Israel, 8440, Newburgh Rd.

March 1, 2015:  Bach-a-Thon Fundraiser at Neu Chapel, University of Evansville, 1800 Lincoln, Evansville IN, 3 PM to 6 PM.  Flyer   Schedule

April 10, 2015: Our chapter presents a concert in honor of Douglas Reed, organist and music educator, including the premier of the Evansville Chapter's newly commissioned major piece for organ and brass quintet by William Bolcom, performed by the American Brass Quintet and Dr. Douglas Reed on the Fisk organ at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville. May 4 , 2015: Dinner, Chapter Annual Meeting, and installation service.  6:00pm at Turoni's on Main Street.  7:30 service at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 308 First Avenue (Corner of Franklin St. and First Ave.).

Saturday, November 22, 2014 (Rescheduled to December 15) - Senior Organ Recital by James Wells, organ major at Kentucky Wesleyan College, Director of Music at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro, and a member of the Evansville AGO Chapter.  The recital will be at First Presbyterian Church in Owensboro, KY at 1:00pm.

Sunday, December 14, 2014, 6 PM:  Christmas Concert, St. Mary Catholic Church, 613 Cherry St., Evansville. Organ solos by James Wells, Sr. Darlene Boyd and Mark  Hatfield; choral performances by various choirs of St Mary & St. John Parish.

Sunday, December 21, 2014, 4 PM  Handel’s Messiah, First United Methodist Choir and Orchestra, Matthew Vanover, conductor,  Henderson Fine Arts Center, Henderson Community College campus, 2660 S. Green St., Henderson.

Saturday, January 10, 2015, 2PM  Benefit Recital: Neal Biggers, organ and Karen Morris, mezzo-soprano; at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson KY.  Free admission, donations to benefit the Villa Infantil orphanage near Ajijic, Mexico, where Neal will be doing another benefit recital in February.  Music by Bach, Pachelbel, Daquin, Handel, Schubert, Messiaen, Widor and more.

Sunday, February 22, 2015, 3pm  Organ recital by Robert Nicholls at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville. Music by Bach, Durufle and Cochereau, plus improvisation.  Event page on Facebook.


Saturday, March 14, 2015 (Rescheduled from February), 1:30PM, James Wells will do a repeat performance of his senior organ recital at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson KY.  Music by Bach (BWV 549 and Lenten chorales from the Orgelbuchlein), Mendelssohn (Sonata No. 2), Franck (Choral No. 3), Albright (Totentanz), and more.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
The Executive Committee generally (but not always) meets on the first Monday of each month at Eastside Christian Church, Weinbach at Bayard Park, at 5:30pm.  Chapter members are welcome to attend a meeting to share ideas, suggestions, or concerns with our chapter's officers.
