September 4, 2010: Church Organ Tour, Henderson KY: a walking tour of four historic downtown churches with informal demonstrations of their pipe organs by local organists, beginning at 10:00am.  Churches include Zion UCC, Immanuel Baptist Temple, First United Methodist, and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic. 

September 5, 2010: Choral Evensong with Organ Prelude by Thomas Drury, 4:30 p.m.,  First Presbyterian Church in Evansville.

October 3, 2010: Choral Evensong, with organ prelude by POEA graduate beginning at 4:30 p.m., on the Fisk organ at First Presbyterian Church of Evansville.

October 17, 2010: Young Organsts Recital Series on the Fisk organ at First Presbyterian Church, Evansville, by two organ students from the Indiana University's Jacob School of Music: Sarah Moon and Sunghee Kim, 4:00pm.

October 24, 2010: Organ recital by local guild members Kristin Jones and Matthew Vanover, on the Walcker organ at the Methodist Temple in Evansville, at 3pm.

November 7, 2010: Choral Evensong with thirty-minute organ prelude by Michael Salazar, 4:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville.

December 5, 2010: Choral Evensong with thirty-minute organ prelude by Robert Nicholls, 4:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville.

December 7, 2010: The Kallenbach Concert Series presents "A Christmas Potpourri" featuring Mark X. Hatfield, Organist/Pianist/Tenor Soloist; Jennifer Korba, Soprano; Eulalie Wilson, Pianist; Assisted by: Kitty Savia, Violinist. 7:00 p.m.,St. John's East UCC, 7000 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, 812-473-0668, Admission - FREE, Doors Open at 6:00 p.m., Reception following the concert in Haas Hall.

February 6, 2011: Choral Evensong with thirty-minute organ prelude by Douglas Reed, 4:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville.

NEU CHAPEL ORGAN @ NOON
Neu Chapel Organ @ Noon, a series of informal organ concerts by Dr. Douglas Reed, University Organist, will take place in Neu Chapel from 12:20 to 1:00 p.m. The series is sponsored by the Neu Chapel Society, the Office of Religious Life, and the Department of Music.
-January 20, 2011: “Ring in the New Year!” Dr. Reed will discuss and perform music inspired by the ringing of bells. Composers represented include William Byrd (British,16th C.), Eric Delamarter (American, 20th C.), William Albright (American, 20th C.), and Louis Vierne (French, 20th C.).
-February 17: Here Come of the Pedals! Music played by the feet on the organ pedals.
-March 17: Happy Birthday, J.S. Bach! Music by Johann Sebastian Bach, the greatest composer of Baroque organ music.
-April 21: Music for Holy Week. Music by Marcel Dupré, Samuel Barber, and Russell Peck.The Neu Chapel Society will provide light refreshments in the narthex following each concert.

April 3, 2011: Tom Drury, Organ Recital, Trinity United Methodist Church in Evansville, 3pm.

April 3, 2011: Choral Evensong with thirty-minute organ prelude by Helen Skuggedal Reed at 4:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Evansville.

April 16, 2011: Michael Salazar, Senior Organ Recital, University of Evansville, Wheeler Concert Hall, 1pm.

April 17, 2011: Young Organists Recital Series at First Presbyterian Church of Evansville: Kirsten Smith (Cincinnati Conservatory of Music)

April 21, 2011: Douglas Reed at Neu Chapel, noon (see Neu Chapel Organ @ Noon, above).

May 1, 2011: Choral Evensong, with thirty-minute organ prelude by POEA graduate Chris Holman (University of Illinois Freshman) beginning at 4:30 p.m., on the Fisk organ at First Presbyterian Church of Evansville.

June 7, 2011: Organ, Strings and Chorus; Mark X. Hatfield, organ; Alfred Savia, conductor, St. John's East UCC, 7:00 p.m.

July 24, 2011: Organ recital by Matthew Vanover, First United Methodist Church, Henderson, KY, 3:00 p.m.

August 21, 2011: Organ recital by Carolyn Howard, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Evansville, IN, 2:00 p.m. This will be a fundraiser for the Hope for the Rejected ministry for teenagers.  Music by Bach, Buxtehude, Hakim and Mendelssohn.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
The Executive Committee generally meets on the first Monday of each month at Eastside Christian Church, Weinbach at Bayard Park, at 5:30pm.  Chapter members are welcome to attend a meeting to share ideas, suggestions, or concerns with our chapter's officers.
