The Evansville Chapter offers scholarships to encourage young students interested in organ lessons. Typically, the student will have had some previous keyboard study, and the scholarship would subsidize half of an organ teacher’s fee. Please email us at evansvilleago@yahoo.com for more information.

Pipe Organ Encounters are summer events at various locations around the country that offer teenagers a rewarding week of learning about the pipe organ and its construction, lessons with experienced faculty, visits to hear and play outstanding instruments, and the chance to meet and interact with peers who share an interest in the organ. The Pipe Organ Encounter-Plus is a similar experience for adults offered some years. Click here to watch a FB reel about the POE experience. You can also click here for more information. You can contact your nearest AGO chapter for possible financial assistance to attend a POE.
